Newtown Pack 70 invites Hawley School boys from 1st to 4th grade and Reed Intermediate boys in 5th grade to join Cub Scouting. No prior scouting experience required, you can join at any level.
Your children are grouped with friends in a Den that usually meets 2 or 3 times a month for activities and field trips all led by one or more of the parent volunteers. Once a month the Pack (all the Dens together) meet once a month for awards and ceremonies. During the year scouts can also participate in other BSA sponsored activities (see www.ctyankee.org). In addition to the Pack meetings we have a Campout (family car camping in town), Picnic, Pine Wood Derby, Blue & Gold Dinner and lots of fun.
